“We are part of the natural world,

we’re not separate from it”

-Dr. Jane Goodall

Who Am I?

Hi! My name is Alyssa Flanagan. Throughout my life, I’ve lived across every corner of Florida, which has grown my passion for not only preserving native wildlife, but also contributing to engaging communities with interactive greenspaces with equal access across socioeconomic boundaries. I’ve progressed towards that driving ambition by becoming a student at the University of Florida studying Landscape Architecture. I have also become a dedicated member of my local community that enjoys helping educate others on the importance of ecological restoration, native planting, design, and the influence of policy on environmental efforts across the country through participating and organizing events within UF and across the city of Gainesville, which has been boundlessly fulfilling.

Rainbow Springs State Park. Dunnellon, FL.
